Following the issue of the Annual Reports by the main MOUs on Port State Control, Concentrated Inspection Campaigns (CICs) announcements have been made available, starting as of September 2010.

According to standing information, the below CICs have been agreed to be carried out:

YEAR 2010 (from September to November)

PARIS / BLACK SEA MOU: CIC on Tanker Damage Stability.

TOKYO MOU:   CIC on Harmful Substances carried out in packaged form (MARPOL- ANNEX III, SOLAS VII & IMDG CODE).

The essence of the CIC is that PSC Inspector will focus and check certain equipment or documentation on board, besides the general routine inspection.
Relevant guidance for INSB clientele regarding the upcoming CICs, is to made available shortly.

FUTURE CICs ( 2011 / 2012)

For the years 2011 and 2012, the below topics for future CICs have been selected by the various MOUs on Port State Control:

PARIS / BLACK SEA MOU: CIC on Structural Safety & Load Lines.

TOKYO MOU: CIC on Fire Safety Systems (FSS).
