INSB authorized by Belize (IMMARBE) – Sept 2009

We are pleased to bring into your kind knowledge that as of 11 September 2009, I.N.S.B. Classification Society has been duly recognized/ authorized by the International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize (IMMARBE) for the performance of statutory work on Belize flagged ships.
Accordingly - and in compliance with IMO Res. A.739(18) & A.789(19)- the society has been delegated with authority –as RO/RSO- for the performance of statutory surveys/audits and certification on ships flying the Belize Flag .
It is also worth highlighting that although it is an applied policy of IMMARBE to restrict the scope of authorizations given to NON-IACS entities, I.N.S.B.’s attained authorization is equivalent to the authorization granted by IMMARBE to IACS member societies, having no limitation neither in terms of scope of surveys nor in terms of vessels size and/or types.
I.N.S.B. is now in the position to serve ship owners or ship managing companies having or intended to have their fleet registered under the respective Belize Flag.
This Head Office shall exercise due care and extend all possible guidance for our services to be delivered to Belize flagged ships, in order to ensure compliance and implementation of the various Technical Notes & Circulars as adopted by IMMARBE.
