Port State Control Statistics ( 2008-2010) - Continuous Improvement for I.N.S.B.
In the present evaluation of all PSC inspections of ships during the past year (2009) within the scope of Paris Mou, I.N.S.B. class society has proved in action its dedication for continuous improvement.
The Paris Mou determines ROs overall performance based on the number of class related detentions for each class society and expressed them in relation to the total number of inspections received during a 3 year period (i.e 2008 – 2010).
According to I.N.S.B.’s statistical recordings and evaluation – while also consulting with Paris Mou published Annual Report 2009, 17 detentions were noted for a total number of 1053 inspections received during the period 2008 – 2010.
This, yields for an excess factor of 0,25% which improves the former one which stood at 0,43%, thus approaching more closer the entry from “medium” rank to “high performance rank”.
Above information is viewed as results of our focused effort in this critical matter and supports our earlier established Policy for Quality and Safety.
Also, in Tokyo Mou for the same period 2008 – 2010, I.N.S.B. society performed well by being listed in the “medium” rank of Tokyo Mou published 3-year RO performance records, having an excess factor of 0,24%.
